Garth is a 9 week old male, red ticked beagle mix. He is one of the twins from Lucy’s litter sharing a color pattern almost identical to his sister Reba. Garth is adorable beyond words and is incredibly sweet. He likes to bring gifts to his humans like toys and sticks. His calm and gentle nature mskes it impossible not to fall in love. Garth has become a favorite with his foster family especially with the children. He is very curious and loves to play and be held. If you pick him up be prepared for a shower of puppy breath kisses.
Garth’s gentle nature and smaller size means he sometimes gets picked on by his siblings. Beacause of this he would not adjyst well to a home with large, dominent ir multiple dogs. He loves to play with other dogs but really seems to crave attention from people. All Garth really wants is a comfy warm bed, a few toys and a family to call his own. Garth should grow up to be a medium sized dog. Possibly around 35 lbs. He is well on his way to being house broken and seems very receptive to training. There is no doubt he will someone’s once in a lifetime “special dog”.

Adoption Policy:

  • Complete an adoption application and submit it. You will receive an onscreen confirmation we received it.
  • Once your application is initially reviewed, we then contact your veterinarian and references. After that, a H.E.L.P. volunteer will contact you. Please be patient, this does take some time especially over a weekend. Please allow 24-72 hours for us to make contact with you.
  • All members of the family must be present in order to adopt. We want to make sure it's a good fit for everyone!
  • Because this is a life time commitment, once you meet the foster dog, there is a 24 hour waiting period for you to make sure that the fit is right for everyone. So many people see a cute face and want to take them home right away without really thinking about it. The waiting period also allows you to get supplies ready for your new one.
  • We do not ship dogs within or out of the state.

  • Puppies 12 months and younger are $300.
  • Adult Dogs over 12 months and younger than 6 years old are $250.
  • Senior Dogs over 6 years are $100.
