  • Size: Large

Labou is a Golden/ Shepard/ Collie mix, he is approximately 3 years old and neutered. Labou has been getting along great in his foster home with 3 extra large male dogs and a guinea pig. He has met my mother’s 3 Extra large dogs also and has gotten along very well. I have heard that he was raised with a cat, but I do not know first hand how he reacts with cats. Labou is timid at first when meeting someone but warms up fast. He has been extremely sweet and gentle with my two kids and myself. He walks well on an easy walker harness and enjoys walks. He is completely house broken and has never had an accident. Labou knows commands and is extremely smart. Labou is crated trained and goes in with no problem. I have chosen not to use it since he is so calm and well behaved.
He does have a lot of hair like a Shepard or collie. I have not had an issue with trimming his hair or nails. Bathing was no problem at all and he was great at the vet. Labou deserves a forever home and someone to snuggle with!

Adoption Policy:

  • Complete an adoption application and submit it. You will receive an onscreen confirmation we received it.
  • Once your application is initially reviewed, we then contact your veterinarian and references. After that, a H.E.L.P. volunteer will contact you. Please be patient, this does take some time especially over a weekend. Please allow 24-72 hours for us to make contact with you.
  • All members of the family must be present in order to adopt. We want to make sure it's a good fit for everyone!
  • Because this is a life time commitment, once you meet the foster dog, there is a 24 hour waiting period for you to make sure that the fit is right for everyone. So many people see a cute face and want to take them home right away without really thinking about it. The waiting period also allows you to get supplies ready for your new one.
  • We do not ship dogs within or out of the state.

Fees:

  • Puppies 12 months and younger are $300.
  • Adult Dogs over 12 months and younger than 7 years old are $250.
  • Senior Dogs over 7 years are $200.
