Age: Breed:
It was late one Sunday morning. We took our puppy, Ginger Snap, to PetSmart to get her toe nails trimmed. As is customary for me to do I told my wife, Chris, I was going to run over to the HELP cats and just take a look. That is when I first saw these 2 very pretty girls sitting together in one of the bottom cages. I was drawn to them immediately. We left and I talked Chris into us coming back later that afternoon to see the girls when HELP volunteers would be there. This is when we learned about Maura’s story. Both Sister and Taffy came out of their cage to visit with us and we knew immediately these were 2 very special kitties. For the next 3 weeks I could not stop thinking about them or their heart touching story. We would go back at least 3 more times to visit them while each time they both seemed happy to see us. I worked hard to convince Chris that our home was the best place for the girls and finally she agreed. It was not about us needing or looking for more cats, but more about these 2 special girls needing a loving home. So we adopted them!

In the weeks that have followed Sister & Taffy have adjusted extremely well and we are very attached to both of them. They get along well with the other cats and have made themselves right at home. We have made a point each day to play with them and they love it. It does not take much to make them both purr and flop. They are both so loving and affectionate. We feel privileged to be able to give Maura’s girls a forever home. They are such a special addition to our home and our animal family is now complete. J

With Love,

James & Christine Hauser
