Meet Misty! This little special lady came to our organization after her family could no longer care for her due to a move. She came with her mom and brother from another litter. Misty is a special needs cat that has a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). To no fault of her own, her cerebellum part of the brain did not develop properly giving her this disability. Her condition is non-progressive meaning it doesn’t get worse the older she gets. Misty walks like she is stiff and sometimes uncoordinated. She isn’t weak just may need a little more time or assistance especially jumping up. Needless to say, this condition has not stopped Misty from playing, using her litter box and craving human interaction. She is a love bug that enjoys sitting in the window. Misty can have a normal fulfilling life but may need a few additional check ups for dental issues that can come along with this condition. She would do best in an understanding home with gentle pets or as an only pet. Rough housing or playing too hard is not in her best interest. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.
