Are you looking for a petite, easy to please, low impact addition to your household? Meet Trixie! This striking two year old sweetheart weighs in at just under 5lbs, she’s teeny! She’s a beautiful tortie, with a splash of white on her chest. She’s been the ideal guest, loving visits from kids, strangers, our own household cats and even our dog.

Trixie is a chatty cathy, she chirps away at you while you are feeding or petting her. We believe she’d make a great second or third pet (she loves playing the zoomies with our own young cat), but she’d also manage just fine as your only love. She’s curious and engaged, always wanting to know what’s going on and eagerly awaits visitors when she hears steps outside her room.

After her two week quarantine and vetting, we are happy to report that Trixie is perfectly healthy. Clean fecal, up to date on all her vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She has perfect litter box manners and loves to burrow under blankets and pillows. She’ll hide herself away for naps but comes right out to visit when you call for her.

She now has free range of our home and we haven’t seen any troublesome scratching habits, and she doesn’t seem terribly interested in toys, this sweetie really is low maintenance. She was given up by her family who couldn’t take her with them to their next apartment rental, so she is hopeful for a stable, forever home. It does seem like she has had some past experience with rough children, at first she was a bit nervous about us petting her lower half and tail, but after a few days of seeing that our children were always gentle, she happily climbs into their laps and naps the day away. Our grade school aged son has slept with her at night since she has arrived, so she’s been throughly tried and tested for snuggles. She prefers the top bunk and plenty of blankets. 😜

If you are ready for a pretty little kitty to be always underfoot, provide you with plenty of headbutts, and eager to chat about your day, look no further. Trixie is looking forward to reading over your adoption application!
