Daisy

  • Breed: DSH- calico
  • Gender: Female
  • DOB: 2016-04-11
  • Size: Medium
  • Hair: Short

Daisy came to us from a kill shelter in southern Illinois. We were told she and her siblings were friendly, but we quickly learned that they were quite terrified of humans and wanted to be left alone. Daisy would hiss at us as soon as we entered the room and swipe at us if we came near her. The lone bright spot we saw was that she LOVED to play. In the beginning she would keep a wide arc around us as we played with her, still very skittish if a toy landed near us. Slowly (very slowly) that arc lessened and lessened. With a lot of time and patience, Daisy has learned to trust us and realize maybe humans aren’t so scary. Daisy has come a long way and is now a sweet girl with whom we can play with from any distance (she still LOVES to play!), will let us pet her, and she will rub up against us. Being picked up is still terrifying to her so she will need an experienced owner who will let her be who she needs to be and would not be good with young children. She will need a forever family that has experience with cats who will be patient enough to give her the time she needs to earn your trust and allow her sweet side to shine through. She gets along well with her siblings and her foster cat brother and sister. Please give Daisy a chance and give her the loving forever home she has worked so hard to earn and deserve.
