Meet our Charlie! He is an approximate year old, Cattle /Red Queensland Heeler mix, weighing in at about 44lbs. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines, and a beautiful red color!
Charlie is in a foster home with 2 preteen kids, and 3 extra large male foster dogs. He gets along great with everyone!
He can be very active and plays catch, frisbee, and leaps through the air like you wouldn’t believe!! But he also loves to snuggle and chill out! My kids love playing with Charlie! He runs around with them and he loves smacking at them with his paws, but when they say enough Charlie responds well.
As a herding dog, he shows some interest in going after birds and our guinea pig. I don’t know if he would be good with cats. He likes to play with everyone! Charlie is very smart and willing to please! Charlie just wants a home and to feel loved!
He walks well on an easywalker harness. Charlie is also crate trained and house broken.
Charlie does play like a herding dog, but with the sweetness of a golden retriever. He is friendly with dogs and just wants them to play! He can be a little cautious at first of new situations and dogs. Do you have the energy to play and love Charlie with all that he deserves?

Adoption Policy:

  • Complete an adoption application and submit it. You will receive an onscreen confirmation we received it.
  • Once your application is initially reviewed, we then contact your veterinarian and references. After that, a H.E.L.P. volunteer will contact you. Please be patient, this does take some time especially over a weekend. Please allow 24-72 hours for us to make contact with you.
  • All members of the family must be present in order to adopt. We want to make sure it's a good fit for everyone!
  • Because this is a life time commitment, once you meet the foster dog, there is a 24 hour waiting period for you to make sure that the fit is right for everyone. So many people see a cute face and want to take them home right away without really thinking about it. The waiting period also allows you to get supplies ready for your new one.
  • We do not ship dogs within or out of the state.

Fees:

  • Puppies 12 months and younger are $300.
  • Adult Dogs over 12 months and younger than 7 years old are $250.
  • Senior Dogs over 7 years are $200.
